Julie Brinks is the Vice President and General Manager of Nexstar Media Group, Inc. stations serving the Grand Rapids-Kalamazoo-Battle Creek DMA, which include WOOD-TV 8, WOTV 4 and WXSP 15, and woodtv.com. She is a graduate of Central Michigan University with a BAA in Broadcasting and Cinematic Arts and completed her MBA coursework through Baker Center for Graduate Studies. She was a recipient of a National Association of Broadcasters Education Foundation Fellowship Class of 2003 in Washington, D.C. Her Michigan career has included positions with WWTV/WWUP-TV as Operations Manager, Station Manager & General Sales Manager of WGKI-WGKU-TV, and Vice-President & General Manager of WPBN-WTOM-TV in Traverse City. She has held senior leadership positions in both television and radio in Peoria, IL, Bend, OR, Chattanooga, TN and Tucson, AZ. She previously served on the State Broadcaster Association boards for Michigan, Illinois, and Arizona. She has been an active in Rotary International since 2005, as well as many years of board service for non-profit organizations including The American Red Cross, American Cancer Society, Make-A-Wish Foundation, and Junior Achievement.
