JA Events

JA of Michigan Great Lakes Events

At JA of Michigan Great Lakes, we host several events throughout the year to raise money to support our programming. These events also engage the community in our efforts to reach students! Whether you'd like to get involved on an individual level or as a business through event sponsorship, we offer several ways for you to support our work while having a great time!

June 2023


JA Lakeshore Golf Scramble

When: Monday, June 05, 2023
Where: Muskegon Country Club
Time: 9:00 AM ET

The JA Lakeshore Golf Scramble is an exciting golf event that incorporates golf, prizes, food, and fundraising.


November 2022


JA Movie Premiere

When: Saturday, November 26, 2022
Where: Celebration Cinema North
Time: 9:00 AM ET

JA Movie Premiere is a family fundraising event (Spring and Fall). The majority of the tickets go to kids in low-income schools and to our charity partners. Kids get to bring their entire families and see a movie while enjoying popcorn and other treats! Students and their families leave with smiles, having spent half a day with the people they love, having a great time.

October 2022


JA West Michigan Business Hall of Fame

When: Monday, October 24, 2022
Where: Frederik Meijer Gardens
Time: 6:15 PM ET

Every year, Junior Achievement chooses and inducts laureates into the JA West Michigan Business Hall of Fame, honoring them for their leadership and success in business and community involvement.

May 2022

Where: JA Free Enterprise Center

The JA Girls' Dream Fair will inspire hundreds of seventh and eighth grade girls in West Michigan.

JA Pitch Day

Where: Junior Achievement

JA Pitch Day is a competition where qualified student teams who participated in a JA Company Program will pitch their business plans. Chosen judges will vote to pick the winner and students receive a prize.

April 2022

Where: JA Free Enterprise Center

The Junior Achievement Titan Business Challenge is a local student competition held in April, with an Online Auction leading up to the event. Most importantly, it is a business strategy tournament using the JA Titan program - an online business manufacturing simulation program.

November 2021

Where: Westgate Bowl

JA Bowling for Financial Literacy is a party with a purpose, to help local students by providing financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and work readiness programming!
