Matt is responsible for leading SpartanNash’s digital retail experience. In essence, his teams aim to replicate the same exceptional customer experience found in their physical stores through their mobile apps, websites, and ecommerce. They lead design, content management, merchandising, order fulfillment, and overall customer experience for those platforms. He provides thought leadership, keeps the teams strategically aligned, maintains a healthy P&L, and creates a culture of people first and excellence in execution.

Matt lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan with his wife (a fellow SpartanNash Associate) and his son. He has 16 years of experience in the grocery industry and also holds a Master’s and a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Western Michigan University. When he is not working, you will likely find him traveling, exploring, and enjoying music.
